If you can’t ride the subway, trek to your local coffee shop, or even go outside to grab the mail without seeing someone wearing a pair of AirPods, well, get used to it. One analyst predicts Apple will ship 50 to 55 million pairs of its earbuds this year, 70 to 80 million units in 2020, and 100 to 110 million units in 2021. Bonkers, right?
Because of their ubiquity, lots of people assume that AirPods are the best wireless earbud option on the market. But that isn’t necessarily true. The Brio True Wireless Earbuds boast similarly advanced features, more hours of listening time, and even a better price point.

You might’ve seen the Brios mentioned on Mashable before, but here’s a quick refresher: They combine rich, balanced audio with a sleek, stylish design that won’t tie you down with cords or wires. Each pair features the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology that never lags or drops your audio — AirPods still use the 4.2 version, for reference — and offerd up to 50 total hours of on-the-go listening when you use their compact, portable charging case. (Apple’s version, meanwhile, only lasts about 24 hours with its charging case.) We’re not saying the Brios are perfect, but hey — they seem to come pretty close, don’t they?
Oh, and get this: Whereas the AirPods will cost you $159, you can get a pair of the Brio True Wireless Earbuds in gun metal or white for only $55.24 if you buy them through the Mashable Shop within the next few days. (That makes them even more affordable than the Samsung Galaxy Buds, the AirPod’s highest-profile rival, which retail for $129.99.) Just be sure to enter the coupon code SEMIANNUAL at checkout to shave 15% off their usual $64.99 sale price.
